Staff Spotlight: Meet Angela!

For our September staff spotlight, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Angela Taldone, Chicory’s Chief of Staff.

Angela joined Chicory in June 2018 as the Office and Culture Manager and quickly jumped into a few different areas of the business from office management to HR and finance. She also assists our CEO, Yuni. Many referred to Angela as "Office Mom" in the early days of her joining the team: always available to help, whether giving an extensive breakdown of how our various work perks work or just lending an ear to listen. She single-handedly ensures that Chicory is a well-oiled machine, from helping with hiring to developing ad hoc creative requests and making sure our team had everything they need to do their best work, even when working remotely! In January 2022, Angela was promoted to Chief of Staff.

Angela has been part of the Chicory team for over two years now! Ask anyone at Chicory -- Angela is the office go-to for well… just about everything! She is truly a jack of all trades.

While Angela was originally born in NYC, she was raised in the Poconos, PA. She returned to New York for graduate school at Pace University. Prior to Chicory, Angela worked in publishing, where she designed books for young readers -- children's books, middle-grade books, and young adult novels. Angela is also a proud vegan! Angela lives with her boyfriend Vinny, owner of Renegades of Sunset, a vegan restaurant in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. 

In March 2020, Angela introduced her new Maltipoo, Sunny to  #dog_chat (our slack channel related to all things pup!), the latest member of the Chicory dog family. Sunny’s favorite trick is giving high fives for treats; preferably blueberries or apples. She has all-black fur with one white paw, her signature trait! “If I had a dollar for the number of times someone on the street said ‘OMG she only has one white paw’ - I would be very rich ha,” Angela jokes.

“Every day truly is different, but typically you can find me working on billing/finance-related things, helping with hiring, and working with Yuni on general business operation tasks and projects,” says Ang.
