Blogging partners who are working with Chicory directly will be paid in full, every month, on a net-60 schedule. In order to receive a payment, the email associated with your PayPal account must be entered into your Chicory dashboard in the My Account tab. All payments will be sent out through PayPal unless otherwise discussed.
If you are a Mediavine blogger using Chicory, your payments will come via Mediavine, on Mediavine’s payment schedule. All questions regarding payments should be directed toward firstname.lastname@example.org
If you once worked directly with Chicory, but have switched to using Chicory via Mediavine, any existing balance on your Chicory account (the money accumulated prior to your switch) will be paid to you by our team during the next pay period.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Amanda at email@example.com.
Chicory Premium FAQs
What is Chicory Premium?
Chicory Premium is what we call our highly-targeted native ad units. This ad unit highlights certain ingredients in your recipes and provides coupons or special ecommerce offers to your readers. Say, you’re writing a post about your perfect Game Day Spinach Artichoke Dip, which calls for Greek yogurt. And Chicory is running a Chicory Premium campaigns for a yogurt company. Now, within your recipe, a coupon or other special offer will appear for Greek yogurt--automatically! We’re able to do this thanks to our proprietary natural language processing technology; and these contextual, native ads earn you money every time they appear! Here’s what a Chicory Premium ad for chicken looks like:
Chicory Premium is not a sponsored post. Our ads will appear network-wide and on recipes that contain targeted ingredient(s). You do not need to apply for these campaigns nor get approval from Chicory. Provided you haven’t requested any kind of opt out, Chicory Premium ads will appear on your site.
How do I opt in to brand campaigns?
If you would like to participate in our Chicory Premium campaigns, you do not need to take any action. The emails that you receive serve as an informational notice designed to give you transparency as to the brands and ads that will appear on your site. We know that conflicts can arise, so we continue to issue these notices--many partners write sponsored content, have dietary restrictions, and have personal brand preferences that may lead to an opt out. Email us if you’re confused or have questions about when or why you might want to opt out of a Chicory Premium campaign.
What kind of opt-out settings are available for Chicory Premium campaigns?
There are a few ways to customize your Chicory Premium settings and preferences.
Full opt out: If you wish to remove all current and future campaigns from your site, you can disable ads by logging into your dashboard, heading to “My Account” and selecting “Opt me out of Chicory Premium.” If you are not sure that blacklisting all campaigns is right for you, you can reach out to Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Campaign-based opt out: This option is best if you need to opt out of advertisements based on the brand being promoted. Perhaps we are working with Banana Brand X, but you’re a brand ambassador for Branded Bananas, Inc. Let us know via email and we can handle this opt out for the specific brand campaign in question.
Campaign tag opt out: This tool allows you to select tags for ingredients or products that you would like to exclude from running on your site. Campaign tags denote ingredient categories such as meat or dairy. We offer these options so that if you’re a vegan food blogger, you never need to worry about opting out of a milk or chicken ad campaign. If you have these settings up-to-date, there is no need to follow up and reply to our ad campaign announcements. To update your settings, log into your Chicory dashboard, select “Ad Settings” and choose which tags you would like to exclude.
- Specific post opt outs: If you have a sponsored post or specific recipe that you do not want Chicory Premium ads appearing on, just send the link to email@example.com. We will deactivate all Chicory Premium campaigns on that post.
I work with Chicory through Mediavine. Can I participate in brand campaigns?
Yes! Partners who have installed Chicory through Mediavine automatically qualify for Chicory Premium campaigns. You will be opted in and will begin earning as soon as you toggle your Chicory settings integration to “on” in your Mediavine dashboard.
How do I adjust my Chicory Premium ad settings if I am a Mediavine blogger?
Chicory Premium ad settings are not available within your Mediavine dashboard. If you wish to opt out of a campaign(s) or blacklist certain recipes from showing Chicory Premium ads, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I track my Chicory Premium earnings as a Mediavine blogger?
Earnings and performance information can be found in your Mediavine dashboard.
I think I’m opted out of Chicory Premium ads completely. How do I check?
You can check if you are opted out completely from Chicory Premium by logging into your Chicory dashboard and heading to My Account. If “Opt me out of Chicory Premium” is selected, you are indeed opted out of all campaigns.
We do not suggest opting out of Chicory campaigns completely as this will cause a significant drop in any Chicory earnings.
If you are working with Chicory through our Mediavine partnership integration and think campaigns may be turned off on your site, you must contact email@example.com in order to update these settings.
