Staff Spotlight: Dave L.

This month, we’re introducing Dave Lubetsky into the Staff Spotlight. Dave is the Director of Campaign Management and joined our team in August 2021.

As the Director of Campaign Management, Dave leads our campaign managers to deliver outstanding results for our clients and strategizes opportunities for business growth by leveraging campaign and client data. He is numbers-driven and loves to see the impact that he and his team can make as performance marketers by digging deep into the data.

Dave started his digital marketing career as a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager for a boutique agency in Brooklyn called Ajax Union. There he learned the basics of talking to clients, setting up campaigns and how incorporating real strategy in making day-to-day optimizations. Thanks to his experience in different media agencies and ad-tech companies, Dave has diversified his skill set, growing into a core member of Chicory’s leadership team and an expert in the realm of contextual advertising

Dave has spent the better part of his life in Queens, NY where he was born and raised. Both his parents and grandparents lived in the New York City area, with family on each side living here since at least the early 1900s. He attended Binghamton University in upstate New York for college. Currently, he’s back in Queens, NY with his wife Melissa, their cat Sabrina and their 3-year-old son Liam.

On a typical day, you might find Dave sipping on a Strawberry Acai at Starbucks, lamenting to his wife about his lack of sleep (his son likes to wake up early, and his cat snores), while checking stock market tickers on his phone. Fun fact: Dave loves the stock market and was Series 7 licensed at one point before he switched career paths!

In his spare time, Dave dabbles in black-and-white photography and writes in free form to clear his head. He also enjoys a good streaming binge — Yellowstone and White Lotus were two recent favorites — and eat way too many unhealthy treats (but don’t we all?).

More than anything though, both Dave and Mel just want to spend time with their family and watch Liam grow up. “Liam is the silliest, most confident, and most energetic child around,” Dave says. “He is also exceptionally tall for his age and talks to everyone he can find. Being a dad and a husband makes me feel complete.”
