Staff Spotlight: Meet Julie!

Join us in welcoming Julie Carpenito into the Staff Spotlight! Julie’s one of our Account Executives and joined our team in February.

Despite majoring in marketing at Fairfield University, Julie’s spent the last 6 years in the sales and marketing services space, partnering with CPG brands to better understand their challenges and helping them reach and engage with consumers. We of course asked her how her time at Chicory has been so far and what her favorite part about her client work here is.

“The last 4 months at Chicory have been extremely exciting, as I get to work with clients across many different categories. I can go from one meeting about yogurt to the next about plant-based chicken and they might have different objectives, but all find value in reaching shoppers through recipe content.”

Julie’s week is filled with preparing for client conversations and prospecting those who don’t yet know that what we do at Chicory is something they will want to hear about. Whether it’s putting together a proposal for a major player in the CPG space or for an emerging brand, she loves providing value as brands build out their marketing plans. 

We asked Julie what are some things she’s currently looking forward to--in both work and play. 

“One thing I am really looking forward to is getting back to in-person meetings. It goes such a long way in furthering my client relationships. Outside of work, I can’t wait for summer country concerts and sporting events!”

She’s also part of a big family. While she’s particularly close with her brother, she’s got cousins from 14 aunts and uncles. So needless to say huge family parties also make that list! Julie grew up in a small town in Westchester County New York called Pleasantville -- though she’s still never seen the movie. She spent half a decade living and working in New York City. In October 2020, Julie left the city for suburban life an hour outside the city, with her now-husband Luigi. Julie just got married in June 2021!

“I know over the last year and a half so many people were not able to enjoy this milestone with friends and family, so we are extremely grateful that we were able to safely celebrate our love and had the best weekend ever!” Julie shared.

We’ve loved having Julie join the team. Her comfortability with clients and her quick understanding of the Chicory ecosystem have made her a major asset to our team.
