Staff Spotlight: Emilia M.!
We’re thrilled to introduce Emilia Marroquin into this summery Staff Spotlight. Emilia joined us in April 2023 as Associate Publisher Manager.
In her role as Associate Publisher Manager, Emilia manages and grows relationships with Chicory’s network of over 5,200 food and recipe publishers. If you’re a recipe blogger curious about working with Chicory, she’s your go-to! She works closely with Mae, Publisher Partnerships Manager, to support the engagement and acquisition strategy to grow Chicory’s recipe network. Emilia’s official side gig is Avid Recipe Bookmarker, scouring all our publishers’ and food bloggers’ sites for the tastiest recipes to make. Recent favorites include Creme De La Crumb’s Creamy Mushroom Pasta and A Latte Food’s S’Mores Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars.
What brought Emilia to Chicory?
“I always dreamed of working in a creative industry that is pushing the boundaries and tailoring to the ever-changing landscape of the world,” she shared. She used to work in book publishing but now finds herself more able to challenge herself every day with her colleagues to find and support innovations and solutions for our network…and have fun while doing it!
She was born in Mexico but raised in Dallas, TX, y’all, and is also the oldest of three. Emilia attended Boston College, studying Finance and English. Beyond working closely with our recipe bloggers and publishers to help increase their revenue streams via shoppable recipes and contextual recipe card advertising, Emilia is extremely creative! She loves reading, crocheting, and ceramic making. She also loves thrifting and talking endlessly about pop culture news (DeuxMoi, anyone?).
