Chicory Accelerates Growth with Executive Hire, Jason Young, and New Strategic Partnerships Team
Strategic Investments in Business Expansion Expected to Drive Continued Growth in 2021
New York City, NY (June 21, 2021) – Chicory, the leading digital shopper marketing platform, announces today the appointment of Jason Young, tenured digital media, ad technology and retail media industry veteran, to President, as well as the opening of a new Strategic Partnerships team, headed by Nick Minnick.
The 30-year industry veteran joins Chicory from his most recent position as chief media and marketing officer at Quotient Technology. Prior to this role, he served as CEO of Crisp Media. Young also founded Smart Device Media, a premium mobile ad network company, and served as CEO at the digital publisher Ziff Davis Media. At Chicory, Young will serve as President to strategically advise on company growth and business expansion.
“I’m pleased to join Chicory at a critical time of growth for the company,” said Jason Young, President of Chicory. “Chicory’s innovative media and shoppability solutions that are at the intersection of contextual content and commerce have created significant value for publishers, brands and retailers. The opportunity to help enhance and scale Chicory is an exciting one that I’m thrilled to help lead.”
Alongside Young’s appointment as President, Chicory announces a new Strategic Partnerships team, led by Nick Minnick, formerly Chicory’s Director of Retailer Development. With a nearly 20-year long career working with retailers and CPG brands at leading marketing and advertising companies, Minnick will expand Chicory’s retailer and publisher partnerships to provide a more widespread and effective retailer and recipe network to CPG brand clients.
“We’re excited about Jason’s new role as President, as well as the new Strategic Partnerships team,” said Yuni Sameshima, Chicory’s CEO and Co-Founder. “Jason brings deep digital advertising and shopper marketing knowledge to Chicory at a time when the company is poised to grow and flourish in this current industry climate. Contextual commerce, shoppability and digital media solutions are only going to become more valuable for shopper marketers and CPG brands. Both Jason and Strategic Partnerships will help to bring those solutions to the forefront of CPG advertising.”
