Director of Client Services

Chicory is looking for a Director of Client Services to lead our team of Account Managers and Campaign Managers to ensure that we are creating a delightful experience for our customers. As the Director of Client Services you will be responsible for making sure that our clients love Chicory. You will lay the groundwork and set the standards and processes that ensure that we execute on our programs and projects. In this player-coach role, you will be responsible for your own set of accounts as well as in charge of hiring, managing and training a team of Account Managers and Campaign Managers. You will work closely with all other departments within the organization and communicate any needs to other department heads. Your Responsibilities

  • Create processes and standards for client services and ad operations

  • Hire, train and manage client services team members (Account Managers and Campaign Managers)

  • Ensure professional development among all members of client services team

  • Ensure departmental expertise on all Chicory products

  • Coordinate with other department heads to understand how client services resources or team members can best be deployed to reach business priorities  

  • Ensure timely and proactive communication with all clients

  • Ensure Chicory maintains acceptable/approved margins across all campaigns

  • Implement and manage process for successful campaign execution - setup, delivery, performance, and wrap up

  • Ensure feasibility of all campaign proposals prior to submission to clients

  • Ensure successful execution of new projects and initiatives

  • Ensure we hit or exceed all KPIs for all campaigns

  • Ensure we deliver campaigns in full (serve total contracted impressions) for all campaigns

  • Help AMs troubleshoot issues with clients as they come up

  • Ensure client services team members coordinate with sales to resign and upsell existing clients

  • Ensure successful execution of campaigns for owned book of accounts.

  • Act as client liaison and advocate within the organization, bring new product ideas or improvements to light as they affect our customers

Your Background and Capabilities

  • Experience leading client services teams in ad-tech and/or media

  • 7+ years of experience in client services/operations at a media, adtech, or technology firm

  • Managed team of Account Managers

  • Understanding of ad operations including all major third party systems (DV, Sizmek, Moat, Krux, etc.)

  • Experience working with digital advertising agencies or brands

  • Deep knowledge of advertising industry

  • Expertise in account management and client presentations

  • Great written and oral communication

  • Ability to understand complex technologies and convey it in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Detail oriented

  • Impeccable organizational skills
