Retailer Development Associate

As a Chicory Retailer Development Associate, you will be representing a venture capital backed, industry-disrupting organization with transformative products and solutions.Our crew is comprised of a diversity of backgrounds, ideas and perspectives--and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

This new hire will be responsible for creating new partnerships with grocery retailers and  cultivating existing retailer partnerships such as: Amazon, Peapod, Meijer, Shoprite and more. You will work closely with the sales, operations, and marketing teams to showcase Chicory’s value to retailers and ensure that partnership expectations are being met. You will also be tasked with identifying new opportunities and growing relationships with organizations that we already work with. Your Responsibilities

  • Establish value of Chicory solutions to existing retailer partners

  • Nurture relationships with individuals across various departments within the retailer

  • Compile data across media campaigns and products that relate to the retailer

  • Present insights, analytics, and wrap-up reports to partners

  • Create new partnerships with target retailers

  • Act as retailer liaison and advocate within the organization, bringing new product ideas or improvements to light as they affect our partners

  • Proactively solve business problems

Your Background and Capabilities

  • 3+ years in a business development role

  • Deep knowledge of grocery industry

  • Expertise in account management and client presentations

  • Great written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to understand complex technologies and convey it in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Detail-oriented

  • Impeccable organizational skills
