About the Role
Chicory’s marketing team is a small operation tasked with a diverse number of responsibilities, all pertaining to the company’s communications, branding, growth, and publisher relations. A strong candidate for our summer internship is eager to learn about how a startup works and has a real boots-on-the-ground mentality. Interns will quickly become an integral part of the team and tasked with maintaining our social media channels, assisting with various communications tasks (editing and coordinating email newsletters, blog post writing and publishing), and helping out with additional administrative tasks. This is a paid role.

Work closely with marketing team to onboard and monitor new publishers.
Manage and optimize social media channels under the guidance of Marketing Director.
Assist with maintenance of Chicory brand and voice on website, blog and email newsletters.
Effectively assist with contact updates and database maintenance.
Identify and provide assistance with troubleshooting technical bugs (and communicating these to the appropriate team members).
Respond via email to inquiries about Chicory submitted on our website.
Assist with unforeseen administrative tasks from setting up travel arrangements for Chicory team members to coordinating gifts for key clients to much more.
Demonstrated interest in startups.

Remains cheerful under pressure and is able to communicate frustrations calmly and effectively.
Strong writing and communications skills.
Experience with social media channels (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram).
Ability to work on a full-time basis in New York City from May through August, 2017 (scheduling flexible).
Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
